Teatime: Akiba town update(06.2009)

Since Tokyo/Akiba is now in a short rainy season, this Teatime has very limited info.

1) Maid in Yodobashi-Akiba

As many media said in Apr/2009, Yodobashi-Akiba has its own store mascot:Akiba-chan. Akiba-chan slowly invades all floors of Yodobashi-Akiba. When you go into Yodobashi-Akiba, You'll be welcomed lots of Akiba-chans.

To my surprise, Akiba-chan has a butler boyfriend(?), now. Who is coming next ?. I'd like to see a Nekomimi-Akiba-chan(^^; .

2) Uniqlo came back to Akiba[AKIBA TOLIM building]

Uniqlo occupies one floor, which was formerly occupied by a large bookstore. AKIBA TOLIM is now a budget conscious shopping hub, having both Muin-Ryohin（無印良品, a.k.a. MUJI outside Japan）and Uniqlo.
Some days ago, I visited the Uniqlo outlet. It was fairly a large store, and open till 10p.m. /7DW.

3) "Digital Signage" was installed in JR Akihabara

  "Digital Signage" is a contents-donwloadable electric signboard. "Digital Signage" is a buzzword in the Japanese AD industry. You can see some of Digital Signages in front of a JR exit(Denkigai-Guchi).
