News: Akiba building update(27.07.2009)

I apologise for the long interval. The Sumitomo Akihabara building finally opened the doors to the public two weeks ago. G/F is a large event space.

The 1st event is Intel's road show in 11-12/Jul. (Please JP-LINK1,  JP-LINK2, and JP-LINK3 for detail)

The 2nd public event will be held on 02/Aug. It's the 1st (paid) cosplay event in this building. (please see JP-link1, JP-link2 for detail.)

Akiba has rush of events in this summer. Besides this cosplay event, there is the Annual Uchimizukko event that will be held in front of Akihabara station in 01/Aug.

Of course, Comiket[C76]  will be held from 14(Fri)/Aug to 16(Sun)/Aug at Tokyo Big Sight. I grabbed a free version of (retail booths) C76 catalog.

But I'll be away from Tokyo during this period as like the previous years.

Akiba town also has its own seasonal sales campaign. But this time there are no celebrity campaign mascot. (Perhaps it's because of budget limitation?)

In Tokyo, it was extremely hot in the weekend that just passed. The max temperature was 34C degree(^^;. If you walk around in daytime, please be cautious of heatstroke.

A signboard (in Akihabara station) was changed for the summer season.

Finally, I got the name of the mascot characters of Yodobashi-Akiba.
The maid is Aki-chan. The butler is Yodo-kun.
